My New Spitfire MK IV

It was with considerable eagerness and delight that I opened a carefully-wrapped surprise box sent to me recently by E. James Small, a model-builder I have never met who lives in Nova Scotia.

In the box was a beautiful, perfect scale-model of a Spitfire MK IV. I had only mentioned to James in a brief email exchange that My Dad flew a Spitfire as Flight Lieutenant of the RCAF 401 Squadron in WW II. The next thing I knew the box with the model you see in the photo accompanying this post arrived. It was sent as a thank-you for my writings, and the Spitfire and the kind thought and effort that produced it are very deeply appreciated.

For those who wish to contact James to inquire about his many types of model, his website is www.smallartworks.ca,
